Instead of staying in Pensacola and fighting the traffic and headache that is usually associated with Memorial Day weekend, we decided to head up to Atlanta to see my dad, step mom and my brother (Papa , Mamie, and Uncle Jon to the kids). We had such a wonderful weekend...didn't actually do much besides eat, go to church and hang out, but that is exactly what we needed. Oh and I guess we did make the traditional trip to Chuck E Cheese (my dad takes the kids there every time we see him). We don't get to see this part of the family very often so it was nice to get so much visiting in. My dad was determined to get the kids in the water at some point, so we made a trip to Target to pick up some bathing suits (mommy forgot to bring them) and a slip n slide. It's no wonder that the kids love their Papa so much...he's always going out of his way to make sure they're having fun.
One other cool thing is that my parents opened up a store in Roswell. It's called Oli + Ve and they sell all manner of olive oils and vinegars...plus anything and everything you might need to go with them. It's pretty amazing...I'm so impressed with what they've done in such a short period of time--they just opened in March. So if you're ever in Atlanta, make sure to stop in and see them. And if you're not going to Atlanta, you're in luck....they have a website! http://www.oliandve.com/
