More backyard moments

The weather has finally warmed up for us here in California. It has been fabulous for the last week--usually around 75 degrees and sunny with a light breeze. Perfection. So we've been trying to get the kids outside as much as we can. It won't be long and it will be 115 degrees and the air quality will be awful (thanks LA smog and massive amounts of pesticides for the surrounding crops). Wyatt is loving all of this outside play time, and pitches a royal fit when we have to come in. Usually the only way we can convince him to come inside is by letting him wash his hands in the sink. Which basically means, he comes in and soaks the kitchen.

Anyway, we had more fun outside today. Wyatt "helped" Josh clean off the patio and then ran around the backyard exploring all sorts of things. Meanwhile, Reagan lounged on a blanket in the grass and I chased everyone around with the camera.

The cutest show ever

I don't let Wyatt watch much TV, but when I do it's either PBS or "Veggie Tales". There is this one show on PBS called "Dinosaur Train". It is the cutest show ever! I highly recommend it to all of my mommy friends out there. Just listen to the show's theme song and you'll be hooked too! CLICK HERE TO LISTEN

Playing outside

Here are a few pictures of the kids playing outside yesterday...you should know two things....1, Wyatt refused to wear pants yesterday and 2, he is in fact wearing "big boy" underwear--over his diaper! haha

A big milestone for Miss Reagan

This weekend, Reagan rolled over for the first time! Just tummy to back...but still an accomplishment. Now we can't keep her from rolling all over the place. This morning I put her on a towel on the floor to take a nap and when I looked back (about two minutes later) she was clear over by the fireplace! Won't be long and this one will be on the move like her brother!

And just for fun, I'll add some recent pictures of Wyatt...he's so cute, I can't leave him out!

Bed time routine

At our house, we have a pretty regular bed time routine. I feed Reagan and put her to bed at 7, then we play with Wyatt in his room until 7:30 when he goes down. Here is a look into the pre-bed time play with Wyatt...

Wyatt's skills

Here are a few of Wyatt's new skills. He's learning to count and sing his ABC's...he's not doing it quite right yet, but it's so stinkin cute!

Motivation came in a short quote...

I heard this little quote the other day and thought I would share it, because it has really motivated me in my walk with the Lord. I plan on taping this one up on my bathroom mirror as a reminder every day...

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil shouts, "OH CRAP! SHE'S UP!"

I hope it gave you a little spring in your spiritual step too!

For the Mosers

The pictures that follow are dedicated to my Aunt Joanne and Uncle Verl Moser. Not so long ago, they owned a kindergarten named "Childrens Small World" in Jacksonville, Florida. My brother, Trey, and I spent a lot of time there when we were little. I have so many fond memories of that place. We even had our own t-shirts....which I have since passed down...(love you, Mosers!)

As far as the spoon...it is the "toy" of the week. You see, every week it seems like Wyatt has discovered something new to play with. And he plays with whatever it is all day/week long. This week it is the "big black spoon" as he calls it. And he has (obviously) taken to carrying it around in his mouth. Boys.

A morning at the gymnastics center

My friend, Kristen, and I took our kids to the local gymnastics center on Friday morning for "open gym". Wyatt and Paige, Kristen's daughter and Wyatt's friend, had such a great time. I'm pretty sure we'll doing it more often! Here is a little snippet of what was an hour of fun...

Going on a frog hunt

Last night when I was pulling the garbage cans in, I was startled by an enormous frog in our back yard. I immediately thought how much Wyatt would love to see him...so I made plans to take Wyatt on a frog hunt today. We hunted and hunted, but we never did find that silly frog. Oh well. Wyatt was more interested in the rocks in our flower beds and flowers in the yard anyway...
