After we left Atlanta, we headed back to our little rental house in Perdido. When we got back, Heather, Ava and Emma (Isaac's family) were there. It was so much fun for all of the kids to play together. They haven't spent as much time as we'd all like together since all of the Keever brothers are scattered across the country. And since we were all in once place, Josh's parents flew on down too. We just wish the rest of the Keevers could have made it and then it would have been an official family reunion.
While everyone was in town we hit the beach a lot, ate a lot of good meals and toured the new Naval Aviation Memorial on the base. It's a really amazing place. If you have any interest in aviation, I would highly recommend going. Not to mention you can get some great pictures of the kids there!
We also drug Josh's parents to Mobile (an hour away) to get Josh's favorite breakfast of all time, "eggs cathedral" at A Spot of Tea. Sound completely nuts to drive that far, right? I wish I didn't agree that it was in fact worth it...but it totally was. Besides the food being amazing, their strawberry tea is the best I have ever had in my 30 years as a southerner.
Heather and the girls stayed about a week and a half...Josh's parents stayed four days, I think. Of course, they had to leave on the same day and leave me and the kids all lonely. They didn't wean us off the company or anything! It really was such a blessing to have so much family so close by...I just wish it happened more often.
