Laton, California rodeo

Today I took the kids to the Laton Rodeo. I have been to several rodeos before, but you never really know what to expect. So it was an adventure for all of us.

I know the kids look a little less than enthused, but we had a great time!

Clearly this guy didn't make the 8 seconds...

This bull decided he was not leaving the arena.

In fact, he decided to just lay down...right there.

He just wouldn't budge. I think it took them about thirty minutes to get him out.

We stayed at the rodeo for a couple of hours...long enough to watch about ten riders, get a snack, a couple of prizes and then head out. We'll definitely be doing this again. It was the perfect thing to entertain the kids and to teach them a few new things about animals and about a new sport, bull riding. Can't wait for daddy to join us the next time around!
