This past Sunday was Easter Sunday. And I loved every minute of it. Easter is my favorite holiday because it celebrates an event that is the cornerstone of my life...and is the cornerstone of who I am as a person. You see, on a Sunday many years ago, my Savior stepped out of a tomb and as a result I (and anyone who believes in Him) gained eternal life. What a precious gift Jesus gave me when he chose the cross, paid for my sin and then rose again. It just gets me all excited whenever I think about it. As the song says, "Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know...Nothing but the blood of Jesus."
We were so blessed this year for Easter. Josh just happened to be in India all weekend and got to join us, via Skype, for the Easter morning festivities. I was so happy that he got to watch the kids open their Easter baskets and to just "hang out" with us before church. That's one less holiday he's had to miss this time! The Easter bunny was good to Wyatt and Reagan this year and they are still ranting and raving about what all they got. I'm pretty sure it will take us at least a month to eat all of that candy.
Anyway, I will leave you with a few pictures of my sweet babies on Easter. I hope the holiday was a blessing to you too.
Think their baskets are big enough?
