January

The biggest thing in the month of January was the addition of a new puppy to our family. On January 7th, after A LOT of back and forth and rescheduled appointments with the breeder, we drove north five hours to pick up our little guy.  It was snowing and thank goodness we got there and then got out when we did because the weather took a turn for the worse.

When we arrived at the breeder's house (her name was Shannon Gray by the way), we walked into their living room and spotted the most beautiful puppy sitting on a blanket. He crawled right up to the kids and snuggled us all immediately. We weren't able to stay and visit long, on account of the weather, so we introduced him to Buck (who was waiting in the back of the car) and hit the road. He slept pretty much the whole way home in my lap.

We decided to name him Moses, and the name has suited him perfectly. He is super sweet and now HUGE. It really is amazing to see how fast these dogs grow. He is the biggest goofball and adores the kids and Buck. Buck has loved finally having a friend to play with all the time--it has completely renewed his youth!

Also in January my dad and stepmom came out for a visit. They were only here for a few days but it was a wonderful visit. There was a lot of playing and dog walking going on! We, of course, took them to Superior Dairy for ice cream.  I only wish they could come out more often!
