Christmas Tree Lane

Before Christmas, once a week, the kids and I would go get a snack and drive around looking at Christmas lights. Wyatt and Reagan just adore Christmas lights. One day, I heard on the radio about "Christmas Tree Lane" in Fresno. There is a neighborhood in Fresno called Fig Garden, full of beautiful older homes and tons of giant pine trees. Every year the whole neighborhood (two miles of street and over 150 homes) decorate for Christmas. They even string lights across the road and all over these gorgeous, enormous pine trees. The magnitude of what they do is incredible...and they do it for free. To drive through is totally free and up to you if you want to give a donation.

Anyway, the kids and I drove up to Fresno, got some Chick-fil-A to eat in the car and drove through these lights. It took us 40 minutes to drive through and was worth every minute. I tried to take some pictures, but there is no way they will do it any justice...I'll share two of them here just for the sake of trying to describe how amazing it was...

What I don't really have pictures of is every single house along this road totally decked out in its Christmas finest. I only wish I had another adult with me to share this with. The kids loved it, of course...we will definitely be making this a Christmas tradition every year that we live here.

If you're interested in learning more about it...you can go here to check it out!
