That picture pretty much sums up the weekend in San Francisco. haha. As of my last post on the pumpkin patch, Josh had been out to sea for about 3 weeks. His ship was scheduled to pull into San Francisco for Fleet Week on their last weekend away. Since my dad was already in town, we decided to make a weekend of it and head up there to meet Josh when he got off of the ship. As far as getting to see Josh, it was a great trip. As far as everyone being healthy and well-tempered, not so much. I felt so bad for my dad. Me and the kids were all sick and everyone was pretty cranky. Thankfully I have a very even tempered father who is great at handling this stress.

Eventually everyone, calmed down a little and we waited....and waited...and waited on Daddy to arrive. I think all-in-all, we ended up waiting around 8 hours total to actually hug Josh's neck. It was a LONG day!

After we finally got Josh in and settled, and my dad flew out to go home...we did a little sightseeing.

After a couple of days, we had to put Josh back on the ship and head home. It was only another day until he got to fly in, so it wasn't too hard of a goodbye. I'm really glad we decided to go up there...Fleet Week is something everyone should see in their lifetime. I only wish we had all felt better and could have enjoyed it more. Oh well...c'est la vie, when you have toddlers.
