Our Big Trip

As we speak Josh, Wyatt and I are in Lemoore, California. We're doing some house-hunting while Josh gets all checked into the training squadron here. Once we find a house to rent/buy, Wyatt and I will permanently move out here and we'll all be stationed here for approximately thirty months. Anyway, since we needed to come out here and do all of this hunting, we decided to make a big trip of it.

First, Wyatt and I flew out to Oregon with my mom and stepdad to watch my brother, Trey, compete in the U.S. Championship Track Meet. Josh flew up from California and met us there. Trey was competing in the decathlon and HE WON! We are just thrilled for him and of course are SO proud of all that he has accomplished. Now he's on to the World Championship meet in Germany this August.

After the track meet ended, Mom and Frank headed back to Birmingham while Wyatt, Josh and I rented a car and started the drive down to Lemoore. We stopped and visited the Redwood Forest, which was amazing! We also spent a night in Napa and visited a vineyard before we left.

Once we made it down to Lemoore, we began to house-hunt...which is what we are still doing now. Wyatt and I will stay out here until Saturday and then we'll fly back to Birmingham for the time being. Once we secure a place to live, Josh will fly to Birmingham and we'll all make the cross-country drive together. Should be a good time.
