More of our travels

Since my last post we have seen lots and lots of the Midwest, the Badlands National Park and Mt. Rushmore. As I write, we are in Billings, Montana where we are stopping for the night. Tomorrow we have a fairly short drive down to Yellowstone where we will hopefully get to see Old Faithful erupt.

Little by little we're making it. So far I think western Wisconsin and South Dakota have been my favorites. Truthfully, there hasn't been much to look at...but you have to marvel at such wide-open spaces and perfectly clean air. I would imagine that this is how God intended it to be.

Anyway, stay posted to hear about the rest of our trip...and here are some pictures from the last few days.

The cross-country trip

We started our trip on August 2nd and headed to Ohio. We spent a week there visiting Josh's family on their farm. We had a blast and Wyatt really loved his time with Grandpa and Grandma. He had his first ride on a tractor and on a carousel.

After our fun in Ohio, we headed for Illinois. My step mom's parents (aka my grandparents) have a farm there. We spent another week helping out around the farm doing things like mowing grass, shucking corn and eating all of Grammie's wonderful meals.

Today we left the Greathouse farm and headed for the Great Lakes Naval Training Center north of Chicago. We're hanging out at the Navy Lodge tonight and resting up for a big travel day tomorrow.

First thing in the morning we'll start day one of our two day trek towards Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. So, stay tuned for more pictures!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Well, the Keevers are having a little girl! We had the ultrasound last week and found out the big news. We are so thrilled that God has blessed us with a precious little girl to take care of. As soon as I can get ultrasound pictures scanned and uploaded, we'll be sure to share them. And stay tuned to see what we decide on for a name! (We're still in the debate stage).

Fun at Nana's

Nana's house has so many fun things to play with and Wyatt manages to find them all!

Atlanta adventure

This past Sunday, I took Wyatt and Buck over to Atlanta to see Grandpa and Grammie (my dad and step-mom). We had so much fun! Buck spent his time playing with my dad's dog, Grace, in the back yard...while Wyatt got to experience a mini waterpark for the first time. I shared an afternoon of shopping with my brother, Jon and just enjoyed the company of family. Here are a few pictures from Wyatt's and Buck's adventures...

Pictures from our big trip

Doctor's appointments

Wyatt and I had our check-ups this morning in Montgomery...my mom was kind enough to go with us so that I didn't have to attempt this trip alone...

Little man was up for his one year appointment, which just blows my mind. It seems like only yesterday that he was born. Anyway, the doctor said he looks great! He's weighing in at 19 pounds 8 ounces and is 31 inches long. He is a little on the light side, but Dr. Anagnos assured me that he's perfectly healthy and totally normal. Some babies just have a very high metabolism and some are just so busy that they don't want to eat as much as others. Wyatt falls into both of these categories. He got four shots and a finger prick (painful for a little one), which broke my heart...but after Nana gave him a few goldfish crackers he quickly recovered and forgot about his trauma.

I had a check up with my OBGYN after Wyatt had his...everything is on track and going well for Keever Baby #2. I heard the heartbeat for the first time since 6 weeks. I think the heart rate was 155, which is perfect for a growing baby. We also scheduled the "big ultrasound" for July 29th! So at 3pm that day we'll find out whether we're having a boy or a girl. I still think it's a boy, but my mom, Josh and now my doctor all think it's a girl. So we'll see...I'm sure we'll have a blog post about the news so stay tuned.

Well, I guess that's it for now...hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far and that the rest of your week continues on a good path!
